Julia Murray, a Whistler-born Olympian and digital marketing expert, brings Olympic-level dedication and a genuine passion for helping others achieve success in real estate.
Her connection to Whistler runs deep. Raised at the base of the iconic Dave Murray Downhill (named after her legendary father, Dave of the Crazy Canucks), Julia’s roots are woven into the fabric of this town. Her mother, Stephanie Sloan, a freestyle skiing champion, moved to Whistler in the 1970s and helped shape its early days.
Julia was named to the inaugural Canadian Ski Cross team alongside four other men and three women. She was a medal contender for the 2010 Olympics but suffered a knee injury just one month prior. Despite this setback, she competed at her hometown Games before undergoing reconstructive surgery. The following year, she earned a silver medal at the World Championships—this time while competing on another injured knee.
After retiring from Ski Cross, Julia embarked on a dynamic entrepreneurial journey. She co-created the Ski with an Olympian Program with Whistler Blackcomb, founded Jules Fuel, a plant-based breakfast company, and worked as a host for Ski TV and The Shopping Channel. Julia also co-hosted Hooked on Plants Retreats, coached clients as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and plant-based chef, co-founded the Whistler Vegan Fest and its accompanying podcast, co-developed a nutrition app with Outlier Health, and managed content and social media for multiple brands.
Over the years, Julia has become a trusted media personality for organizations like Whistler Blackcomb, Tourism Whistler, RTown, and many others, collaborating on countless social media projects and campaigns.
Now, Julia has dedicated her adaptability, passion, and diverse skill set full-time to real estate.
“Growing up at the base of my Dad’s run, I’ve watched Whistler transform from its humble beginnings—when Creekside was just a gravel parking lot we used to park in for early mornings at Ski Scamps!
After making an incredible impact on Whistler as the Director of Skiing, and on the Whistler locals as such an inspiring and compassionate guy, Dave, sadly passed away when I was 2.
